The Austrian State Printing House (OSD) is an expert in digital documents, such as modern, secure and efficient mobile driving licenses. In October 2022, OSD and its digital subsidiary "youniqx Identity AG" successfully launched a fully digital driving license in Austria. Six months after its official launch, more then half a million digital driving licenses have been successfully activated. This ongoing popularity underscores the successful implementation and the great acceptance as well as the further potential for secure, innovative, and user-friendly digital identity applications.

Trusted experience in Mobile Drving Licenses

Austria's mobile driving license was launched within Austria's digital ID wallet called "eAusweise". The “eAusweise” app was developed by youniqx Identity. Since 2017, OSD has been consolidating its expertise in secure digital identity within its in-house digital subsidiary, youniqx Identity. With the specially developed eID application "MIA - My Identity App”, youniqx is one of the pioneers in the field of electronic identities.
